This is a big white with sliced apple, pineapple and lychee fruit. It’s full-bodied and dense with lots of fruit and phenolics on the mid-palate. A roundness and power at the end. From the same plots as Yquem. Harvested August 9. 60% sauvignon blanc and 40% semillon
Falstaff (95)
Pale yellow, green hints, silver reflections. On the nose, subtle hints of lime blossom, pear and orange, notes of lime zest, a pleasant herbal savouriness and fine botrytis nuances underlaid with notes of vanilla and blanched almonds. Elegant with white Pome fruit, taut and tightly meshed, nuances of pear, finesse-rich acid structure and subtle notes of salt and white almonds on the long, lasting finish. An elegant and harmonious food wine with definite ageing potential.
