Mostly Sangiovese with a 15% topping of Merlot, the Bertinga 2016 Sassi Chiusi is one of the least formal wines in this portfolio. It shows tart and bright fruit aromas with cassis, sour cherry, spice and dried blueberry. It also offers plenty of primary fruit and tart acidity with enough freshness to pair with fried foods or a pasta with a cheese or cream sauce.

A fine-textured red with berry, chocolate and light-cedar character and some walnuts, too. Medium to full body. Integrated and polished. About 80% sangiovese and 20% merlot.

Sattes, tiefdunkles Rubin mit leichtem Granatrand. Eröffnet mit reifer, zugänglicher Nase, nach dunklen Kirschen und Holunderbeeren, saftig. Straffes, gut platziertes Tannin am Gaumen, gute Spannung, zeigt viel frische Frucht, herzhaft und lange.
