From Leimen, Seeger’s 2018 Oberklamm Blauer Spätburgunder GG is very intense and spicy on the deep and super ripe yet still refined and elegant nose with its spicy toast aromas. Full-bodied, intense and with firm tannins, this is a tight, fresh and intense, quite sweet and powerful Pinot that will benefit from a long bottle aging. This 2018 represents the heat of the vintage perfectly. Tasted in Wiesbaden in August 2020.
