A subtle but not imperceptible dollop of wood sets off more elegant aromas of violet and various red berries, in particular currant. The sleeker and more refined medium weight flavors display good length on the mildly austere and only slightly rustic finale. This could be enjoyed young but 4 to 7 years of keeping should help to develop more depth.
