An earthier and slightly more deeply pitched nose freely offers up its aromas of both red and dark pinot fruit that is trimmed in nuances of warm earth and a hint of the sauvage. The delicious and nicely vibrant middleweight flavors terminate in a mildly rustic finish that displays good persistence. This could use more depth, but I like the potential.
