The 2018 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru La Forge de Tart exhibits aromas of cherries and plums, framed by a lavish application of creamy new oak. Medium to full-bodied, rich and rather extracted, it’s firm, muscular and a touch brutish for a wine at this level—much as it was in barrel.
