Winespectator (89)
Subtle and complex aromas of black licorice, cedar and currant. Full-bodied, with very good silky tannins and a long, caressing finish. Very pretty.–’95/’96 Bordeaux retrospective.
Jancis Robinson (17)
Michel Rolland era (1995-2002).Very dark ruby with only a tiny bit of age. Mellow Margaux nose that has real development, perfume and ripeness without excess sweetness. Quite a bit of acidity and structure but a very serious wine that still has quite a bit to give.
