This shows notes of ripe dark berries with hints of licorice and orange peel. It’s very polished and refined with a solid center-palate. Medium-bodied and creamy on the finish.

The 2023 Kirwan is dense, resonant and impeccably balanced. Succulent dark cherry, plum, licorice, menthol, spice and lavender are all dialed up in this decidedly intense Margaux. Kirwan packs quite the punch, but it is also neatly proportioned, not to mention incredibly delicious.
Jeb Dunnuck (94)
Another brilliant wine from Margaux, the 2023 Château Kirwan reveals a deep blue/purple hue to go with a nicely oaked profile of ripe black fruits, leafy herbs, iron, violets, and spice. It’s balanced, medium to full-bodied, has a supple, layered mouthfeel, remarkable purity, and a great finish. As with most 2023s, it’s going to shine with just a few years of bottle age.
