This smells like stepping into a forest clearing filled with violets, and from the moment you smell them, there’s no other possibility but to enter this magic kingdom of German pinot noir. So concentrated, yet so focused, silky and refined. Spectacular flint character and mineral freshness at the mind-blowingly long, creamy finish.
Falstaff (94)
Ruby red in colour. Appears young on the nose with aromas of fig, peony and ripe red berries. Very supple and juicy on the palate, reduced tannins that are still building up pressure, good acidity. Herbaceous finish with elegant volcanic rock notes.
