Robert Parker (91)
The sweet black cherry-scented 2003 Gevrey-Chambertin Clos St.-Jacques is medium to full- bodied, rich, and boasts outstanding depth in its blackberry-laced core. Expansive and lush on the attack, its long finish reveals firm, almost rustic tannin that are worrisome.
Winespectator (94)
Incredibly fresh and vibrant, with a core of blackberry, cassis, spice and mineral aromas and flavors matched by a dense, firm structure. Balanced, yet needs time to integrate. A beam of violet bursts through on the finish.
